CBWMP offers training in collaboration with  the Institute for Public-Private Partnerships

CBWMP has entered into a cooperation agreement with the Institute for Public-Private Partnerships (IP3) to facilitate the attendance of its members at training workshops organized by this US-based agency. IP3 is an international training and technical assistance firm which focuses on fostering public-private partnership opportunities in the energy and environmental (water/waste water and solid waste), technology and social sectors.

The first programme of training courses is shown below:

• Water Sector PSP and P3 Units/Centers: Institutional Options for Promoting Competitive Utilities
  (includes 3-day study tour to Indianapolis, IN)
  June 18 -29, 2001

  (includes site visits to utilities in the Washington, D.C. area)
  August 20 – 31, 2001

  (includes site visits in the Baltimore-Washington, D.C. area)
  September 10 - 21, 2001

• Water Sector Project Finance and Tariff Rate Setting: Analytical Techniques for Ensuring Financial Sustainability and Cost-Recovery
  (includes 4-day study tour to New York City)
